What to say? what to say?
I started this blog because of my affection for rabbits. I'm not really a dog person, although I have had dogs. Cats are cool because they for the most part do their own thing. What I really like is to see how others go about caring for their buns. I love imaginative habitat idea's. And of course I love love bunny acrobatic exercises. Another cool thing is sleep time, the way they just decide to call it quits. I would love to hear from other bunny owners, about their buns, such as pictures or stories!! So please feel free to leave me your comments and let me know about you and your bunny friends.

My bun's name is Yoshi, he's a 8 month old angora/lion's mane cross and full of mischief. He came from a rescue shelter and was actually the runt of the litter. He's very good at figuring out how to outsmart the rabbit barricades, which both annoys me and makes me proud. In the morning, rain or shine he's there as soon as my alarm goes off to make sure I get up and not hit the snooze alarm.
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing better than coming home after a stressful day and getting to sit on the floor and have him flop beside me.
He's very gentle and good around kids and people in general. Instead of running and hiding when the front door opens, he'll run right up to see who's come to visit (and if they've brought him a treat).
It's funny because people ask if he's like a cat or dog, and it's hard to make them understand rabbits are special and intriguing and very much their own animal. They're so much more than most people give them credit for.
I'm trying to talk my partner into getting him a bunny friend, but so far he's a single bun. Cost, room, work etc all have to weigh in as we're in an apartment.
Anyways, I never thought I'd ever get to own a bunny but I'm glad we did. He's very much a part of our family and has full run of the living room and hallways (and occasionally the bedrooms if he's fast enough to zip in when we're not looking).
